Iconic Fairy Tale Statue, Check!

I swear I am going to be one of those adults that never grow up. Young-at-heart is the term a lot of people like to use. Hence why I got super excited when I got to visit the inspiration to another one of my favorite Disney stories, The Little Mermaid.

The Little Mermaid is originally a fairy tale by danish poet Hans Christian Andersen. It’s also one of my favorite Disney movies and Ariel was one of my favorite princesses, along with Belle, which I already got to see the castle and the inspiration behind Beauty and the Beast.

Christiania

So now blog readers, it’s my chance to tell you about something I couldn’t film; the hippie commune of Christiania. Basically, Christiania is a part of Copenhagen that has been left alone to govern themselves, a free-state. It’s an artist mecca, lined with various styles of graffiti and local artisans selling all sorts of crafts.

Now, let’s talk about the marijuana. There is a lot of it, everywhere, and you can openly walk up and purchase it. Again, going into the pro/anti marijuana debate is not something I really want to get into, so I’ll avoid it. I didn’t spend too much time in Christiania since that scene is not really my thing, but from what I witnessed it’s a very unique and interesting place I would highly recommend checking it out.
