After all the hustle and bustle of Paris and Barcelona it was nice to have a day of rest and relaxation. Good thing we had the prefect and most ideal setting to do so: the French Riviera!
Vlog #4: Contiki European Panorama: Nice, France
Nice, France
While it’s no white sandy beach, and the beaches that are here are jam packed with tourists, there is just something special about swimming in the Mediterranean for the first time.
Since we were only in the French Riviera for one day we opted to try out the private beaches. So for 20 euros we got a parasol, a chair, drink service and our own private washroom. Best investment ever. We spent all afternoon on our comfy chairs, ordered lunch on the beach, drink fruity beverages and shaded our faces from the sun. If we just went to the public beach we would have been lying on rocks with no drinks. Obviously this was not an option. I believe we made the right choice.
No need to move when lunch is served right to you.
Fragonards Perfumery
Just outside of Nice was a perfumery we got to stop at. Now although I do love to wear perfume, I actually don’t know all that much about what goes into making them, or what the difference is between the different types.
Now I know and I’m happy to say after this stop I smell super fantastic. I love oriental perfumes, ones that smell sweet, like desserts: vanilla, coconut, chocolate. So that is what I smell like if you ever wondered.
