Earn 25,000 bonus Aeroplan Miles with the Star Challenge

Traveling can get expensive, especially if you plan multiple trips a year. Because of this, we are always looking for ways to save on travel expenses. One of the easiest ways is to collect and redeem Miles.

We’ve been active members of Aeroplan for over 10 years and have seen the benefits first hand. We’ve used Miles for hotels and flights both at home in North America and internationally.

We collect Miles a number of ways, including purchasing fuel at select gas stations, booking flights with Air Canada and Star Alliance partners, and by making most of our household purchases with our Aeroplan credit card (we earn 1 to 1.5 Miles for every dollar spent on our credit card).

Because we’ve been Aeroplan fans for years, we are excited to have teamed up with Aeroplan for 2013 to showcase the many benefits that members have. We also love it when we learn about new opportunities to accumulate Miles, like Aeroplan’s current promotion.

From March 11to April 10 2013, Aeroplan members can earn up to 25,000 bonus Miles during the second edition of the Aeroplan Star Challenge.

Members who reach 50 stars can receive up to 2,500 bonus Aeroplan Miles and members who reach 100 stars can get up to 25,000 bonus Aeroplan Miles. That is enough for a round trip ticket anywhere in continental North America!

How Aeroplan members can earn stars through the Star Challenge:

5 Stars per flight segment with Air Canada

3 Stars for flying with Star Alliance partners

2 Stars per transaction when you make retail purchases using your Aeroplan card

5 Stars per stay with Aeroplan’s network of hotel partners

1 Star for registering by SMS or on the Facebook App

1 Star for following Aeroplan on Twitter via the Star Challenge Facebook App

3 Stars for each conversion transaction of participating loyalty program points to Aeroplan Miles

Visit Aeroplan’s facebook page to learn more ways to collect stars. By completing one of each of the options above, that would be 20 stars earned already!

What we like about the Star Challenge is that members can also earn stars via social media. For Facebook fans of Aeroplan, members can share, like, follow and recommend.There will be a variety of games, trivia questions, and opportunities to use social media channels earning up to an additional 9 stars.

The more members use their card, the more stars they earn. So, if you’re an avid Aeroplan Miles collector, getting up to 100 stars is very attainable. There are more than 100 participating partners like Air Canada, CIBC, American Express, Avis, Esso, Birks, Fairmont Hotels and resorts, Starwood hotels and online retailers like indigo.ca, Apple Store Canada, and Gap.ca.

Plus, for every star earned, members are entered for a chance to win 1 of 10 prizes of 500,000 bonus Miles.
